My aim: 95+ ATAR

School rank - 92

Half yearlies results:

Physics - 70/80 (rank 1)
Chemistry - 65.5/80 (rank 5-6)
2U - 70/86 (rank 12)
3U - 44/74 (rank 15)
SOR - 32/50 (rank 20ish =='')
English - 20/30 (rank 31)
Music - 18/30 (rank 10 ?)

Other assessment:

Physics - 20/20 (rank 1)
Chemistry - 24/25 (rank 2)
2U - B
3U - Failed (less than 50%)
SOR - 17/20 (rank 2)
English - first task: D (rank 50s). second task: B (rank 13)
Music - Don't know (rank 5-10)

Didn't study for Music and got 18/30. That's a high C. For my first viva voce I got a C as well...

I don't like studying for music and I don't want to practice my performances pieces...

I just want to know:

- say I did pretty good in performances but did average for aural. Would it contribute to my ATAR in anyway ???? I'm hoping that my other 10 units will be counted towards my HSC. I thought I'd do well for RE but :S

- I heard music doesn't get scaled up even I get a band 6.

- Is the chance for RE contributing towards my ATAR higher than music? If so, I want to drop it.

Basically I'm asking whether Music CAN contribute to my ATAR in ANYWAY!.

I don't know about whether yours will, but I'm pretty sure that my Music 1 won't count towards my ATAR, but I'm keeping it because its a subject I can relax and have fun in. Sure I could drop it and have 8 more free periods a fortnight, but I enjoy it.

You basically made the decision in your head to drop already

Yeah but I need other people to justify whether I should really drop it.

Justify with a good calculation as to whether RE will count towards my ATAR or not.
