should i drop to maths std (1 Viewer)

hi im a year 12 hsc student and im currently at a 56% avg in maths adv. the first test i got a 65.5% and for the second i got a 46%. should i stay in maths adv and try my best to get a good mark in the next test (integration) or drop to standard and complete the makeup tests and try get a new good rank. i would need a 90% and above in standard and around 85% in adv.

Yeah but im just scared that i could mess up the makeup tests somehow and get a bad grade which could end up worse than i already am in adv

do you think i should try my hardest in advanced for the next month and a bit until my next test or learn year 9-10 content in standard plus a few others such as networks.

pretty much all of the standard questions you need to read whole paragraphs or interpret graphs and data and stuff, and yes you have to do that for advanced but most of it is just looking at an equation and solving it, So id say stick to advanced.

All you have to do is go to thsc trial papers and do questions from the topics in your exam (for now atleast) and if you dont understand it look at the solution, and if u dont understand that, look on youtube (organic chem tutor) or ask ai (chatgpt has been pretty good at explaining math to me for uni, but can be sketchy) and you obviously have your teacher. You're also already familiar with advanced content.

could you give me a good amount of time a day i should devote for maths adv to study?

in the holidays i was doing about 40-60 mins a day but i didnt study other subjects as much, until near the hsc, but even 30 minutes a day is good as long as youre consistent. you can even do that 1 hour in class and do other subjects at home
