Simple question-- but im still not getting it right, need quick help (1 Viewer)

The burning of sulfur can be desrcibed as:

S + O2 ----) SO2

What volume of sulfur dioxide gas will be released at 25'C and 101.3 kPa when 8.00g of sulfur is burnt ???


Can someone plz include full working out, so i can see where my calculations have gone wrong. Thanks

=8/32.1
Since one mole of sulfur burns to produce 1 mole of sulfur dioxide,
number of moles of SO2 = 8/32.1

n=V/Vm
V=n.Vm
=(8/32.1)x24.47
=6.1 L

punched it into calculator wrong
