Solve

y=x^2 +1

y=1-x^2

Graph the two lines, then find the point of intersection.

Or substitute equation 1 into equation 2 for y

1- x^2 = x^2 +1
0 = 2x^2
x = 0

substitute x = 0 in equation 1
y= 0^2 + 1
y= 1

point of intersection: (0,1)
