I'm having my exams:
Monday .........had english and bio.........went home..........and guess what????????????????????????
i slept like a pigggggggg........from 4pm that day to 9 am the next morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i skipped dinner!!!.............lucky the next day i had no exams.........after that i felt so guilty.
N E WAY: ive tried coffee and tea.........what ELSE keeps u awake?
I drank like 2 glasses of coffee at once (cos i was desparate) and i started shaking........tea is better but i get used to it and need to wait like 2 or 3 days for it to work again.
A friend suggested me to flash the lamp in my eyes......(hmmm)
so what else CAN u do?.......................
BTW .........sleep is good but it's failing me at school.

Exercise is the best, it gets your blood pumping :).

I think you should still get a good night's sleep every night - I think I had some trouble before Area of Study last year, but I was alright after that :).

drink tea, it works for me if i'm staying up late.

i normally have 3-4 cups, but that's just me.
chrysanthemum tea is the best if you can get it, (chinese ones)
not the herbal ones though (or jasmine, but i'm just fussy with my tea)

other than that, lipton'll have to do ... i don't like bushells either :)
two sugars.

you can always fake a cold, and get cold and flu tablets - the day time ones have drugs that keep you awake
you dont need a prescription or anything

i find taking cold and flu tablets is like a sleeping ticket or something. it just makes me more sleepy even the non drowsy ones.

but even if u tried to stay awake from night to morning, don't ur back just give way??
my back aches before my eyes close. :D

You must take the night time ones, they make you sleepy, but the day time ones are designed to keep you awake

i found that when i don't sleep much for long period of time the less i wanted to sleep, probaly because the human body adapt to the condition that it is put upon, and at the same time when you sleep heaps you still feel that you're tired and want more

I drank tea in the common room at school to get me through free periods, mostly chrysanthemum too :D. I'm pretty fussy with my tea too, I don't like English tea except with lots of milk and sugar. I had someone's Russian Caravan tea once, very black and very strong, kept me awake through double physics that arvo :D.

But I never bothered with drinks to keep me awake at home - when I felt sleepy, I just went to sleep...productivity is low at night for me :).

Yeah I normally only get around 6-7 too. Haven't yet become some giant red-bloated-veins monster. Well not last time I checked...
No love of study is achieved in the other 18 hours of the day though :p

If I want to stay up longer, besides coffee/tea, I find that really strong mints work too. They clear your head and force you to think.
