that sounds allrite, u might be better going in a proper shirt. smart casual always meant to me, proper pants, and a proper shit, but u dont need to wear a tie or jacket, and tucking in the shit is optional (but probably preferable for a job interview unless it makes u look like a nerd)

Is there anything wrong with wearing jeans to an interview? (for a junior casual position)

Or a jeans a no no? Or does it not really matter?

i would suggest against jeans... smart casual (at my work) means no thongs/jeans/caps/polo shirts (sorry)/nothing too short and no singlets...

better to overdress than underdress :)

don't wear a polo or jeans. smart casual is between casual and formal. a button up collared shirt without a tie will work.

Hey I've got a fastfood interview this morning. What the hell should I wear?
Would jeans and a nice shirt be ok? After all it's just a fast food place.

Fast food I'd have said jeans+polo=acceptable....

As far as the smart casual goes I'd be betting on:

Smart business type pants.
A long sleeved business shirt.
Smart shoes.
No tie to jacket.
Consider rolling the sleeves on the shirt up or having the cuff unbuttoned and folded back.

For me smart casual means jeans and a shirt with a collar. Part of the reason for that is because I don't have any long pants that aren't jeans.

Smart casual doesn't include jeans. (I sure fucking hope not).

Black/formal pants with polo shirt is fine, tucked in. And this does not include those metrosexual-fag type of polo shirts either (with holes and shit), only those properly/neat looking polo shirts (RL, lacoste, munsingwear, T. H. etc.), with your collars down.
