Okay - I just received a phone call from one of the Universities I applied to. Bit of background - I applied to 8 Universities to do Bachelor of Nursing.
Now it isn't an offer to do the Bachelor of Nursing but an offer to do foundation studies, it is sort of like a diploma - I think, my Mum made enquiries about this so I am not very familiar with it. Anyway, you do 4 electives and I think 1 or 2 Nursing subjects - if you pass then you go onto University/Nursing the next yr. I am being sent an application form tomorrow, the course starts March 1st - MUCH better than starting in July - which I would have to do if I elect to do the Certificate IV in Health.
So, what should I do the foundation studies or wait until Febuary, apply for the Cert. IV or do the foundation studies. There are so many issues to weigh up - like if I fail the foundation studies I'd have to wait until next July (2005) to do the Cert. IV in Hlth, plus I'm not sure if it's distance education - if this is the case, I am even more doubtful whether I should do this or not. What would you do??
