30 Days will be more then enough for the test which is mainly as far as I can see a proof of concept test.
Spacecraft are getting new means of propulsion rapidly, with a spacecraft powered by xenon gas being turned into plasma having been demonstrated recently.
Unfortunately the means to get them out of the atmosphere seem to be a tad more problematic with the scramjet seeing a possible part way tool but it comes with it's own complications.
Newscientist Space is always an interesting read although they don't have something on this story as of yet.
