Did anyone here go to the Sonic Youth gig on either Thursday June 17th or Friday June 18th?

Because cassette played on Thursday night whereas The follow played on Friday night, and since I saw the follow and not cassette it would mean that I went on the 18th!!

they were sometimes drowned out
i had trouble hearing thurston's vocals at the start of schizophrenia, but maybe he was singing too softly.
kim's vocals were usually piercing enough to be very audible :p

oh.... right :)

all i remembered about cassette was the horrific onstage banter, not the name

"hey everybody! this garden gnome is like our onstage mascot *giggle*"

it was sensational, how funny was jay masicus (never knew that was how you spelt it) not even talking through his whole set

and thurston: we should get these two dudes up on stage to make out

oh and they played schizophrenia!

yer, i was happy to get what i did i guess. for one, i enjoyed myself more than radiohead *braces for attack* and i was so happy with schizophrenia and especially skip tracer (i was actually thinking right before ronaldo went into it, fuck skip tracer would be good atm) and tom violence was a great closer. i would have liked the diamond sea though.

edit: and yeah i like that first song off sonic nurse, i think it was like the one they played before or after schizophrenia, and i also like disconnection notice, which they didnt play, but other than that yeah im not the greatest fan of either album. although they're both better than nyc ghost and flowers
