Sound byte of own voice? (1 Viewer)

this probably sounds dumb that i can't do this but for my ipt multimedia project, i have to create a sound byte of my own voice onto the computer and attach it to the website as part of the project. does anyone know how to do a sound byte of something like this? and what do i need in order to do this task?

If you have a microphone (or if you don't borrow one), plug it in, and go to:

Start->Programs->Accessories->Communication/Entertainment->Sound Recorder

If you can't find it, go to Start->Run, and type "SndRec32".

Hit record and go. You can save from there :)

No worries. Microphones, albiet cheapo ones, but nonetheless capable of doing the job, are available from Big W for ~$15. But school does resume next week, so not too much of a delay.

some earphones support microphone support as well, i remember i have one that the right speaker supports microphone, give yours a go and try both earphones you'll be surprised
