I'm doing my extension history project on apartheid, and at the moment i'm focusing on Nelson Mandela, but i am not completely happy with him as a topic ('Nelson Mandela, hero or criminal')

What text books are you using for South Africa??? and which do you guys find to be the best?
Are their any other historical debates in that era? We're doing Indochina as our International Study so i'm not that familiar with the area except for what i have already researched on Mandela and just general info about the time.
Thanks, you can also email me at nightminds00@hotmail.com

they were ordinary textbooks, we had one that had exclamation marks and the other was a year 10 south african one. you could also widen the question to other opposition groups to apartheid but yeah finding historians opinions on the subject is hard (well it was for the south african subject generally). good luck
