Ok, so there are some things that are worrying me for the Speeches assessments which I'd appreciate some clarification on, mostly about the structure and the 'personal response'.

Firstly, my structure (for each paragraph past the thesis and intro) is as so;

Paragraph example:
1. Topic sentence.
2. Context of speaker in regard to topic sentence
3. Techniques (where the structure of each technique is [identify technique -> then use an example by quoting -> then say what the technique does])
4. Some sentence which briefly outlines the topic sentence in regard to the question itself.

Some feedback and/or criticism on this kind of structure would be helpful.

Secondly, how does one go about properly including a 'personal response' into the essay? I'm pretty sure you don't say stuff like "I think this has affected me blah blah blah". And the 'Responses to the speeches' was edited out of the rubric last year, if I recall right, so is it more like talking about how the speech affects the community?

Thanks in advance.
