When calculating the distance from one point of the earth to the other. How do u know whether to add or subtract.

*= degrees

e.g 32* N and 120*E and 45* and 120*

how do u kno if u + or - 45 and 32????

if they are both the same, ie. 32N 50N then its 50N - 32N

if they are different, ie. 32N 20S then you add the two

if theyre both on the North side (for example) then you subtract
if one is on North and the other on South then you add

this can be applied to north south east and west
and im pretty sure about what i just said, i may be wrong (hope not ;D!)

hey i hope this helps!!
You add whenever your latitude crosses over the equator as 0 degrees to the south or you cross the greenich meridian to the east or vise versa!!
If you dont corss them you subtract them
if your 45* is north as well you would subtract but if it is south you would add them! hope it helps
