Hi Ive seen some advanced people being proud of band 6's and how they can achieve a higher UAI than standard people....My view is as follows
Its not wat English course u do...standard or advanced....read in YOU AND YOUR UAI booklet...it says STd and Adv are scaled as a single course...and if you are in top 1% in standard ....ie mark in late 70s or 80s....its way better then being in top 10% in Adv.....cos being in top 1% in Std scales up...the person who got 88 in Std last yr....scaling for each unit was as follows....44 became 46.7...Now isnt that like Extension courses....for UAI....its where you are in the State (rank in state) not the mark you get on the record of achievement...cos the marks you receive are scaled by BOS not the UAC.......
