i was just wondering, in the new hsc, will we do better than other candidates if we stand out, ie. in our writing?

unlike the old hsc, i believe we are being marked against a criteria, and are no longer directly competing with each other.

will more humorous perspectives.. or maybe a unique perception upon the ideas of a text win those exra marks?

of course it wouldnt if such inclusions didn't answer the question exhaustively... but what if it did?

anyways, good luch to ya'll for trials and later in the hsc!!!

New HSC? Old HSC? Wha...?

Anyway ;) good responses will definately stand out, but you won't really "win" any extra marks. If the content itself is good, and you write it well, the originality and flair sets you up for some nice marks (like band 6).

If you don't answer the question, you are not really going to do all that well... but at least if you write it in an amusing way, it'll be fun to read :p That being said, if one puts enough effort in and takes the trouble to really understand their module and texts, it's hard to write anything *but* a decent response.
