OMFG. Create a new account and start again. THE WHOLE POINT OF A HANDICAP IS THAT ALL RUNNERS HAVE A (THEORETICAL) EQUAL CHANCE.

Handicaping a race means a closer finish and gives the amatures a chance, it is after all, an amature race, hence the name "GIFT", its called a gift cos they couldn't have prize money so they gave the winner a gift of cash

It's a time honoured race, and all runners (and punters) know damn well that it is going to be a handicap. Why should they change it just to pander to your myopic view?

you have it wrong .. i love a punt and i love golf.. i understand the format of a hcp, but in a running race for fucks sake whether its a time honoured tradition or not it should be a fair race.. thats all

as a swimmer, i love our handicap season, as the back marker, its a matter of pacing ur self and not going out 2 hard
