Hi,

My teachers at the moment are putting so much pressure on me. And i'm going to through massive amount of stress!

I really want to stay in Advance English, but i have a feeling if i screw up they're gonna drop me. I don't want to get dropped because the teachers in Standard are woeful and so many immature idiots in that class plus our Advance teacher is so nice and caring person.

In 2Unit Maths at school is a sinch. But at tutoring at James An Coaching College, i am finding the work difficult. Basically the maths teacher is pressuring me alot because he is shocked that i got band 3 in the SC. He says "You must do better than this if you want to get into Economics.. This is just unacceptable."

I've lost my motivation to study and this Stress is driving me insane.

Any helps?

Your maths tutor is using scare tactics to make your improve. Maybe you could just ask your tutor to ease up a little and to concentrate more on helping you improve your skills and less on uni, which after all is two years away. Your tutor is trying to get the best out of you, to try and force you to improve more. While this works for many people it doesnt seem as though this style will work for you.

If I was your maths tutor I'd be worrying about you getting a band 3 in the SC too...but if you are finding the content simple enough in two unit then you should be ok for now...just make sure you stay on top of things as best you can.

You can only do your best and that is all anyone is ever going to ask of you, to try your best in whatever you do.

If this means you have to send a few drafts to your teacher so be. If it means asking questions, doing countless practice exams, studying and generally having a go then that's what needs to be done.

However do it for you not for them. It is after all your HSC, your life, your future. Motivation is really a catch phase word, everyone has motivation of some sort otherwise they wouldn't be at school you just have to find it again and discover that while your at school you might as well do the best that you can.

So if you don't want to drop ask your teachers for help and if your tutor\teacher is pressuring you then you have to sit them down and tell them that instead of adding pressure they should be work to help create strategies for you to succeed to your full potential.
