Yeah I find anything with lyrics really distracting

Film music/instrumental music/some classical music always does it for me

or if all else fails and the music becomes to overwhleming.... get rid of it altogether and study in silence :)

or make your own music as you study! :ninja:

If I have to be studying I would like it to be in silence without any distractions because it is those distractions that stop me from studying and thus I learn nothing.

I think the original poster, assuming from their typing is a fan of rap.
(I tink da rig possie, gezzing from der tie-ping iz a fan of rap)

For me, it is either:
  • Folk-rock: Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen, The Band, The Eagles, Simon and Garfunkel, Tracy Champan, Eric Clapton, Richard Thomspon, Van Morrison
or

  • Soft-rock: Prince, David Bowie, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Roxy Music, Pink Floyd, R.E.M, the Kinks
I think anything without a a loud rhythm pattern is fine to concentrate, also, lyrical depth is quite profound.

Look, you guys, the only music that is peaceful which lets you study is...Coldplay...especially their first album, "Parachutes"....wow!!
Oh and also Keane's new one, "Under the Iron Sea"...
But again, this is advice from a Coldplay addict...hahahah!
