The generic question in RFTG is "How is the notion of Retreat From the Global reflected in your texts?".
It's insanely early to start doing study notes in my opinion (says Little Miss Procrastinator) but it's certainly a good idea. I'd do a 2-page minimum essay on all your prescribed texts so far and apply the generic question.
What's important to remember about RFTG is that's it's a lot less "statement evidence explaination" like most Eng Adv modules are. A good 90% or so of my RFTG HSC essay was non-contextual - that is, things like historical/cultural values etc and personal/historical/cultural context. and of course... "techniques techniques techniques!"
