For hsc... we used conquering chemistry, which is helpful with many dotpoints in our course. However, this one doesn't cover some of them well.
You should use a combination.
I hated Conquering, it has giganta errata pages and is poorly structured IMO. I used it very occasionally because the school made me buy it, I also used Thickett's Chemistry Pathways and the Longman Chem Contexts.
yep.. i found chem contexts II really useful, in-depth and actually relevant to the new syllabus.
Conq chem was alright as a summary, i thought (or a quick reference point)
conquering chem cover the dotpoints
but i don't think in the depth you need for answering a 5mark question,
i recommend chemistry context book 2 as its the most updated book so far and goes a bit further in depth
although no one has made a new book for the new syllabus so chemistry context it is.
