hey everyone
i'm really struggling with picking my subjects for year 11. Right now i have ADVANCED ENGLISH, MATHEMATICS (thinking about going down to general), CHEMISTRY (thinking about swapping with either bio or business), MODERN HISTORY, ANCIENT HISTORY and also doing textiles and design at TAFE.

i don't really know what i want to do when i finish school, thinking perhaps pharmacy but i can't help but think i may struggle too much with chemistry so would really appreciate your thoughts
i have 2 weeks to change up my subjects

I'd give it at least another few days before you drop. Don't rush into dropping just yet! (e.g. with Chem, see if you actually do struggle with it, not whether you think you will)

Try and give it a few more weeks before you shift your subjects around - at least get some more perspective on your choices. With Maths specifically, I would wait as long as possible before dropping to general so you can see how you perform in assessments. The first few days of the prelim are an adjustment for many people, so give it some time and dont make rash decisions this quickly.

it's just incredibly frustrating that i haven't figured out what path i want to take when i do finish school, so thinking about all this really does my head in.

Don't worry about figuring out what you want to do when you finish school. Your subject choices don't have to correlate with that. For me, I didn't have a clue on what I wanted to do till after HSC, and I dropped all maths in year 12 and did the subjects I loved, only to get into a commerce liberal studies degree in sydney which has ample mathematics.

Point is, just study what you would be interested in at school, study what you love, dont focus on swapping subjects based on what career prospects it might be geared towards since you dont have to stress yourself over things like that now. That stuff takes time.

Just a side point, seeing that you have both ancient and modern history maybe try and pick extension English as well?

I agree with Amaranth, you would definitely benefit from English Ext 1.
