ok here's my dilemma.....

discuss this quote in relation to how the concept of Belonging is explored in the prescribed text, Immigrant Chronicle by Peter Skryzynecki, and at least 2 other texts of your choosing...blahblahblah....make reference to the quote - do you agree with it or not and support your views with your choice of texts.

so far i've studied the poems: Migrant hostel, Postcard and Feliks Skrzynecki; and i'm at a complete loss as to how i can use at least 2 of those poems to argue for or against that quote.

peter w.e's family never really belonged in aus, but then they never really wanted to go 2 aus, so it just cancels out. And the Braun guy was talking about space exploration ffs!

and i gotta finish this essay by thursday......joyous

From my perpective, the quote basically says that a person is very capable of belonging anywhere, despite difficulties they may face.

I straight away thought of 10 mary street, which I don't think you've looked at yet, but it illustrates that the Skrzynecki family don't really belong in Australia, but when they are together, in there home and garden they truely feel secure and the spirit of poland is alive... etc etc in simple words: in there home they belong and "do plently well there"

So some might say The Skrzynecki's "dont belong out there"(australia) but they have managed to create a home, a belonging in a country that they did not belong to despite the challenges...

Im just going off the top of my head, so its a little messy.
but anyway, thats how I thought thing through.
