Hi everyone!

Look at our new subforums! Finally! Aren’t they great? Thank Lazarus if you get the chance.

From now on, please post questions in the relative subforums. I hope that people from previous years will continue to post in this Music Forum and help out new people that come here.

In the main forum, discussion about things like Uni Music courses and entry into them can take place as well as any other general, non-topic specific discussion such as extracurricular activities, PAU, workshops etc. etc.

I have already moved a few threads into the subforums – ***when going into the subforums, alter the settings down the bottom that reads Last Month to From the Beginning to see all the threads in the forum.***

The threads that have been moved include:

All the Instrumentalists unite threads have been moved into Performance – This includes Trumpeters, Bassists, Saxophonists. The relevant Piano thread. Performance Time. And questions about grades and in particular, the HSC Performance Pieces thread.

Phanatical will be very pleased to learn that there is now a little Composition sub-forum which he can lord over and reign. I’d like to say here that while we both haven’t always gotten on, I can assure the 05ers that he certainly does know what he’s talking about in terms of Composition and specialist advice for the HSC should be sought from him, ur_inner_child or chepas.
The threads in there include discussion about programs for use, portfolios and length of compositions.

Finally, in Musicology, all questions relating to actual Music papers themselves (both Music 1 and 2) should now be directed there, as well as Viva Voce questions, essays for Music 2 and Extension and selected works.

Over the next few days I’ll remove the re-directs in the main forum and everything should then be much much neater.

Also, I urge you all to please run a search through the forum before asking a question. It is highly likely that the question has been answered before in the past by a person who has come and gone – by searching through the forum, you may already find the answer you were looking for.

If you have any questions please post them here or as per usual, PM or e-mail me.

Thanks!!

-ujuphleg.
