Well 1st day bak(today 28/7) and it was subject selection time. I previously had a thread on wat subjects to choose but the lines mostly went my way but had problems in some. These are the subject i choose and the lines they are in, they are all definite except the for ones with the '/'. Thank you in advanced for reply.

Line 1.English Advanced
Line 2.Mathematics Extension 1
Line 3.IPT/Chemistry/Legal Studies<--undecided
Line 4.Physics
Line 5.Engineering studies
Line 6. Business Studies/Modern History <--undecided

Out of Line 3 which shall i choose and why? and out of line 6 which shall i choose and y?

Line 3: I do not know much about IPT as i hav never approached the subject before but i hear it has a big workload but an easy one. For chemistry i feel my science is not my best subject so i should not risk two. I choose One science subject PHYSICS as i can handle one science subject and i can excel in the maths part. At the moment in commerce(Yr 10) we are learning about the law and it does not seem to hard at all. Out of the 3 subjects i would like to choose in line 3, which one would you suggest me and why? I am more leaning on IPT or chemistry. Just do not know which one

Line 6: Not much here to talk about i enjoy commerce so business studies should be fairly comfortable for me. I am also reasonable well in history atm in history we are just learning about modern history (Yr 10.) Post war WW2 in australia...vietnam etc.. any suggestions in which subjects i should do in line 3.

Btw if people tell me to do economics, it was only given in one line :( and that was line 2. :L I rather maths than economics.

In line 3 scaling wise, chemistry would be the choice. Although it seems that legal studies seems to be easier to comprehend than the rest according to what you said. If i was in your case, I would choose chemistry, because they apparently relate some how and I've always been interested in chemistry.

In line 6 I would choose Modern because history is one of my best subjects, but it's entirely up to you.

I have to choose between IPT, Ancient History and Food Tech. I cant choose!

Line 3: I recommed Chemistry (scaling and aligning wise)... it rips up! I love it, but from what you've written, you may not >_>. But as said in the above post, chemistry and Physics do overlap (a little)... and combined knowledge can make understanding a fair bit easier.

If you'd prefer legal studies (from what I read)... then choose Legal by all means ^_^

Line 6: Definitely modern. I have numerous friends that do Business studies and from their notes and things that they tell me... it's quite passive and boring. if you're going to choose Legal studies then you have that humanities subject urge covered... modern scales better than business studies as well. If that's any concession to conviince into Modern History.

Oh, Modern History is a lot different than Year 10 history... modern is more about the World's history :D (much more interesting)

+1

Chemistry and Physics overlap especially if you're doing the quanta to quarks option. I recommend chemistry because it's simply excellent and scales great.

Do modern - year 10 history is a sad excuse for history lol. I recommend modern as it is my favourite subject :D

Modern is the greatest. It teaches you so much about the world you live in. *recommends* :]

In my opinion chemistry and business studies are the way to go. There is a lot more variety for uni courses and supposedly the scaling is alright, plus useful subjects =] if you like them that is.

Line 3: Seeing as science is NOT one of your best areas, dont pick chemistry. youll regret it. IPT does not have that much of a workload and yes is easy to get marks. legal is a step up from law in commerce (a lot of essays and memorising)

Line 6: business studies is very dry and has fail scaling. modern is way more interesting than Aust. history (thank god) and has good scaling. entirely up to you
