absolutely ! Well if it makes you feel better, my PE and Bio teachers have both been away for the past couple of weeks and we are on the verge of exams :/

Dont forget its also the mark you get not always the rank so if youre getting good marks then dont worry too much. But they are awesome numbers.

Are you trolling? Ranks are everything, getting 95% is still bad if everyone else gets 100%.
But if everyone is getting 97/98/99 etc and their differences are just a couple of marks then they will all do well and ranking means nothing. Im in a class of 12 and each girl gets full marks if not one mark off for everything we do and so our ranks reflect nothing really. Our lowest rank is 7th and she got 100% in 2 tasks and 98% in one. So no Im not trolling.

Yer but then the highest internal becomes the average of the externals if everyone gets full marks. So if it's easy tests, everyone's marks will suffer.

I can sort of see your point but then again: every year, the same subject, same size class with similar marks do extremely well in the HSC with everyone getting between 93-99 for that subject.

What year are you in?

Well your class should be fine, but for other people reading this, generally having everyone get full marks brings down the internal marks due to the average of the externals being lower for first place.

I'm year 10, but have 3 older siblings that have done the HSC. So I know how most of it works from when they did it lol.

LOL well i can tell you this. Ranking is absolute rubbish and means nothing. Your marks are important.
Do you think (hypothetically) that its logical for each member of the class to get 100% in every task including HSC exam to get anythin below that for their final mark? No.

That class well be ranked quite well compared to other schools and the students cant pull eachother's mark down internally.

THUS ranking means nothing if you are not getting the marks.

Its ok, youre still in year 10. Everyone scares you in year 10 about ranking but honestly it means nothing if youre not getting the marks. And I really wouldnt be throwing around terminology like you are. Ranking isnt as simple as that.

Dont worry, "other people reading this" wouldnt be taking advice from someone in year 10 anyway.

yes and good marks=good ranks.. To have one you must have the other.
Not necessarily. For one 4U (the very first one actually), I got around 65%, but came 3rd out of 120 (at a top 10 school). So yeah, they're not mutually exclusive.

Get the highest mark possible, and make sure you beat your cohort. Nuff said.
