I don't think so. I am sure someone can clarify that.

However, if you currently do a science like biology, physics or chemistry and wish to drop it, if there are enough people to run a class, then the school MAY provide senior science as an alternative.

As far as I'm aware, the only subjects you can pick up are Maths Ext 2, English Ext 2 and History Ext, assuming you're doing Maths Ext 1, Engligh Ext 1, and a history course, respectively.

I'm just confirming what others have said.
If you have completed the prelim course for the selected subject, then you can pick it up. If it clashes with other classes, you can do it via distance-ed if you're still keen on it.
Otherwise, you can pick up Exts units. However, if you do Pathways, you are able to pick up Preliminary courses and complete them over 2 years. A bit hard to explain, but maybe you get the idea.

I didn't think you could pick up new subjects at the start of year 12.

I knew about the Science thing, and Advanced English to Standard and Math to General.

Sigh.
Unless you do Pathways, forget it. It's much too late now.
If your school doesn't have the subjects you want, you can do them via distance-ed. Why don't you take to your careers advisor for God's sake?
