how come after a few posts in your 'subscribed' thread, the thread is automatically taken off the your subscription list??
i find this quite annoying as i frequently ask questions and the email notification suddenly stops after a few posts, so then i forget which threads i posted in...

is there a way to permanently subscribe to a thread? (not a whole thread, just the topics IN the thread)

I don't think it is. If you goto your user cp and see the subscribed threads box, there's a drop down list that says "show threads from 1 day ago" etc. Find the time period you want and see if that works.

But if it doesn't work, I have no idea what you're talking about and you'll have to wait for a mod or admin.

when i clicked the 'show threads from: past 10 days.'
it showed me all the threads that i subscribed to, but when there is a new post (to a thread that i subscribed to), BOS doesn't send me an email notification.
so i have to manually search through every thread to see if there are new msgs...which gets annoying after a while :(

In options, where it says "E-mail Notification", is it ticked?

I hate it when you have to keep unsubscribing to the threads in which you have posted!!!

Is there a way to post in a thread, but not subscribe to it?

If you reply (but not with quick reply),
under the button for inserting attachment,
there's a drop-down box to choose what notification you want.

If you want to disable subscription automatically, you can do this from User CP.
But remember it will apply to all posts
