Suicide car bombers unleashed a trail of carnage in Egypt's tourist-packed Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Saturday, killing at least 62 people and injuring 150 in the deadliest attack in Egypt in nearly a decade.
In October of last year, 34 people were killed in explosions in Taba, a nearby resort area popular with Israeli tourists. Due to this, officials blamed those attacks on violence related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

i was thinking egypt...wtf?
As in why Egypt? The terrorists bombed a tourist destination (there are quite a few Britons missing and one of the articles said that it was a popular holiday spot for Israelis). Also, it'd be quite alot easier for terrorists to gain access to countries such as Egypt that are within the region as opposed to say Australia. That aside, the Egyptian government is quite progressive (when compared to states within the Middle East and Northern Africa anyway) and I can imagine that it wouldn't be too popular with extremists.

thats very true
people dont care about the middle east
its a sad fact
It is. I heard they were going to spend billions of dolllars to prevent another suicide bombing from happening in London with respect to security measures etc. However, the death toll in Iraq is 25,000 and still climbing but I guess they dont matter because its in their best interests isnt it... </sarcasm>
