hey, just wondering, about super annuation, when a = 1.01 or something like that, why doesn't a=1. can someone explain that to us

It something like this, a question

A women invests 1000 at the start of each year. She receoves interest cmopunded annually at 9% per annum. How much will this investment amount to after 25 years?

Total = 1000 x (1.09(1.09^25 - 1) / 1.09 - 1

why does a = 1.09, cause when u do time payments, its a = 1, i think this might give a better idea of what im talking about, if u still have problem, i try and explain it a little better
