I applied for this course at Ultimo Tafe and apparently i have to come in on the 24th of Jan.
Does this mean i am in the course?
Are they going to ask me some hard questions that i will make a fool out of myself?

It means that it is the enrollment/information day where you come in and gain extra info about what you are applying for and then apply for it. For some courses there will be an interview or a placement test or a portfolio required. You shouldn't worry too much about interviews or placement tests, they aren't particularly difficult.
