can anyone provide me details on these two productions??
anything would help... also how would u introduce these productions in a response? i dont plan to look at them in detail just mention them..

Tate was made in 1681, because the british audiences couldn't take all the deaths at the end. He rewrote the play with a 'happy ending'.
The only people who die are the villans (goneril, regan, edmond and cornwall), the fool is removed. cordelia and edgar get married and go on to rule england.
Lear lives out life in happy retirement.
This took over the raw version (for the most part) for like 150 years
