Techniques in The Tempest (1 Viewer)

I was just wondering if anybody could help with techniques in The Tempest. Most of the techniques I have (and that's not very many) have nothing to do with imaginative journeys no matter how hard I try to fit them in.

i *think* (ive forgotten virtually everything now) that one of the main ones is how shakespeare doesnt really specify where the island is (which you should work in well with imaginative journeys)
also the speech that the characters use (like how miranda talks differently to say prospero and caliban)
umm...not sure what else..if i think of anything else i will add it

goodo... and what about symbolism? I have the game of chess and how it symbolises the powerplay between characters, Prospero's loss of control over Miranda etc-- and what does that have to do with imaginative journeys? and surely there are more?
