im directing a stage production of Lear, and my setting is contemporary American present day... with this i have incoorperated themes of terrosim and deception in the play... any good ideas i could use in representing act1 scene1 with terroism as a major theme would be appreciated...

should i include the subplot



in what ways should i change the language????!!!!!!

hhmmm well really you should have focussed on what themes of the play you wanted to address of exaggerate furtehr and then figured how you would direct the play. by doing this you are completely making you own play that has no reference or origin to lear. make sure that it has some srands that are connected to the original play.
