Will it always be an essay? Has there been a past hsc paper with a different text type?

I have found that there are practice questions and past papers where you have had to write a feature article or speech... hope that helps...

while i think it has been an essay they can ask you to write anything, a speach, a feature artice or even a discussion.

Ah well, at least it won't be a total suprise if its not an essay tomorrow.
