In my trials, i got a comment saying i need to identify more 'textural analysis' in the prescribed text (Cosi).
She wrote that i understood the question and but i lack in the 'textual analysis'

Can someone help me out as to identifying textual analysis in a piece of text and some advice if you have any?

Thanks

textural analysis

means u need to analyse the text a lot more. u know ur stuff as ur teacher says, but WHAT PROVES IT? this is where TECHNIQUES come in. its like the examiners give u 1 out of 2 marks for stating something then 2/2 for backing it up with a technique/quote/SOMETHING that says u know what the examiner is talking about.

but then the next step is to TALK about the technique. WHAT is it saying/doing/proving? for example, what is the author trying to say through using that technique?

so its like this:

STATEMENT (what) --> HOW (through techniques such as blaaaahh) --> WHY (discuss the technique and the way it contributes to the journey). i guess thats how you would texturally analyse something. you can also use this in the journeys paper, with comprehension section.

all the best :)
