First of all... A *MASSIVE* congratulations for getting your uni preference accepted at UTS!! You're going to love it.
Just a shout out that we've opened a Facebook group for all first year undergraduate students starting environmental science degrees at UTS. Use it to meet your classmates and stay in the loop about social events, uni services and freebies that are happening as well as be up to date with your classes, field trips, assignments and exams. I'm one of a few post-grad students in the School of the Environment that will be on there posting things from time to time, and we're starting the group because we've all done the highschool-to-uni move and know how hugely helpful it is getting to know the people around you and keeping on top of things during your first year.
Your Facebook group is called UTS Environmental Science 2012 and the link is http://tinyurl.com/utsenvirosci (or the full link is here http://www.facebook.com/groups/150074638431985/ )
Don't be a stranger - Join up, stay connected and have fun this year!
See you in February,
Megan
