Hey all...

I went to a discovery day thing at UOW and i really rate the UNI....but i was just wondering if you guys that actually go to the uni and / or live on campus could tell me what the life is like. What are the chicks like? Are there many? Are there many parties at the gong? Whats the coolest accommadation? (college)

Thanks...i look forward to your hasty replies.

$200 p/wk is pretty cheap considering it includes 3 cooked meals each day.

i used to think off campus was cheaper..but then i realised...electricity, water, phone-line, internet and so on.... all adds up.

campus includes common rooms with pool tables and cable tv, as well as res aides who can help you with your studies... all in all i think it's pretty good value, and i know that for me it works out cheaper.
depends on where u go.... $200/wk? u sure about that?? i thought it was more than that..

some places for rent include electricity, water, that knida thing...

Well, I actualy go to usyd, but heaps of my friends go to UOW, half of them are at Campus East and the other half are at Weerona... I've seen both, and stayed at both... I say go Weerona! Campus East is bloody miles away... and Weerona is just BETTER.

Sorry, for some reason, I just hate Campus East... not completely sure why!

UOW is great. The 3:1 ratio is about right, with a lot of canadian/american exchange students... or it may be I just happened to notice them more. There is quite a few females down there and also there is a bit of talent.

Unibar is great, and the social life is always good, we get decent bands, Gelbison & Something For Kate are playing in the next fortnight, but in the last semester there's been Machine Gun Fellatio, 28 Days, Bodyjar, Resin Dogs... and quite a few more, and every wednesday there's a band on the uni duckpond lawn. Trivia is on Tuesday at the unibar and the winner gets free beers... the Unibar is the centre of the uni and why shouldn't it be.

Nothing better than reading your lecture notes at the unibar while downing a schooner and socialising with members who have similar ideas.
