the internet started from the activities of the U.S department of Defence during the cold war years of the early 1960s.

i think it was called ARPANet and was designed around the principle of unreliable computers.

Yes there has to be a section on it under the "Communications Systems" part of your text. I know for sure there is in the Heinemann text.

Then just do more research as already said if needed...
