Been meaning to post this up for a while... no time like the present!
What do you regularly use on your lips? Why? What have you got to say about other types of lip stuff?
Lip Balm
Pros: Often comes in a tinted shade, so you get some colour. Balm also tends to get absorbed into the skin, so it never gets 'tacky' and unless you have heaps on, hair won't get stuck to it etc. It's one of my daily essentials, I carry one everywhere!
Cons: Application can be messy because it comes in a small tub, especially if you have long nails (and what the hell are you supposed to do with the excess lip balm? This is something I'm still trying to figure out... not everyone carries tissues with them 24/7!) How I wish they'd make Lip Balm in a tube or something!
Fav: Lip Balm from The Body Shop in Raspberry
Lip Gloss
Pros: I love this at night because there's a huge variety of colour, it can be SHINY or SHEER, and not messy to apply at all.
Cons: Unless frequently reapplied, all the ones I've tried go 'tacky' after a while... it starts to flake off, and it's very annoying. It also is quite sticky...
Fav: Super Lusterous Lipgloss by Revlon in Raisin Glaze
Lip tint
Pros: Oooh I tried this today for the first time! (thebodyshop) It's kinda cool and even seems to be water resistant (not to mention smudge-resistant). Probably very long-lasting, and wouldn't need touchups during the day.
Cons: Not shiny in any way (although I guess this is only a con if you like shiny lips), and limited shades.
Lipstick
Pros: Easy to apply, huge range of colours, huge range of "types" (eg matte, long-lasting, moisturising...). Not sticky at all.
Cons: As much as I love lipstick - and this may be a teen/young adult culture thing - it doesn't feel like an item I'd carry around with me all the time... (great for night, though) and unless you're using a colour that obviously isn't your natural lip colour (like a red), it can look a bit weird/playboy bunny-ish.
