I wanted to know how is Marketing as a sub major under IT

should i take two sub majors or just 1 and two other electives

how will it help me and will it help me at all to take marketing as another submajor

Well it'll give you an overall idea about marketing and the core concepts. It'll help you if you want to go into a more marketing and sales oriented IT role (those types of roles do exist).
