Fo' shizzle
Hey guys and girls,
I've found at my school that because it's Catholic and we're forced to do at least 1 unit of SOR that the candidature just doesn't try in this subject.
For instance, in the last assessment task we had to do, which was exactly the same as Question 14 of last year's HSC exam. I got 15/20 for this task, but very few people scored even 10 or above. The average was only 7/20.
My question is do you people find that at your school the candidature for SOR1 is very weak and often incredibly uninterested in the work because it's only 1 unit and usually mandatory?
While I'm doing pretty well at this subject, being ranked about 10th out of 180 students, the majority of people just couldn't care less.
I think perhaps a solution to this would be to let us choose our own religion to study as an option strand or something because I find Judaism incredibly boring but we're still forced to do it. If I could perhaps study Islam or Buddhism I'd be more inclined to pay attention since it'd be something I'm interested in. What do you think?
