My arm kills...it started during paper 2 and it hasn't stopped...any suggestions as to what to do? How do I make it go away because it is making it difficult to even type, let alone write more essays on wednesday

Heat packs are good for muscle pain, Ibuprofen also helps alleviate the pain.

Unfortunately I don't think you are able to get a special provisions claim from something like this, but I think you should damn well try if the pain persists to Wednesday, you don't know how serious the damage could be.

Thanks for the suggestions...
I don't know...I assumed my arm hurt from writing or something like that...but it hasn't gone away so I'm starting to think I hurt the muscle...but you can't do that writing! so I don't know what to do.

have u been doing any other extreme physical exercise? i can't see how writing could cause such pain.... hmmm

just give it some time I suppose... but don't stop writing, do some light and easy warm up stretches and keep using ur arms or else they'll just lose all strength and kill even more if u all of a sudden try using them...

considering u made this post last night, how are u feeling this morning? :) any better?

I played Hockey on the weekend and helped someone move house...didn't hurt then but sure does now...I don't know, its better than yesterday but still weird. I just wasn't sure what to do about it, but I guess nothing. :)

Just hope it stops in time for my exam tomorrow.

Yes I'm planning to just ignore it and go on anyway..I wouldn't be able to stand someone writing for me, I'd be grabbing the pen off them five minutes in or bitching to them about how slow they were going. :)

My family don't like doctors. I didn't even go see a doctor after I slipped on a slate driveway and gave myself concussion. The only reason they'd go is if I was actually bleeding or unconscious.

muscle pain can be from:
- overuse
- tension
- injury

If you think its serious go see a doctor or try RICE

it depends what is wrong with it...I was offered the opportunity for special provisions for my hsc after i hurt my arm just before it...but i declined. I couldn't stand having someone else write for me...figured it was better just to bear the pain and get on with it. I know someone who broke their scaphoid just before an exam and ignored it and did their exam.
Please tell me the RICE principle, or when I am in the same situation I will not use my right hand unless necessary.
