Im stuck on choosing a text from the stimulus booklet for my speech.

Im doin "The Tempest" (set text-imaginative journeys). Can anyone plz help... wat texts would link the tempest rather than "Journey to the Interior"?

It would be really appreciated.

did they ask for you to produce another text of your choice? because it would be easier to link three texts rather than 2. I personally chose the tempest and journey into the interior because of the themes that are portrayed in both texts. one of the main themes in the tempest is "the clash between two worlds". in the tempest it is the clash between man/monster or power/slavery and in JITI, is about the clash between the the outside terrain and the domestic household/inside feelings

Yes of course.... they do ask me to produce another text of my choice.

I really want to do "Journey to the Interior". I will probably do that in the HSC but not in my speech for school. What supplementary texts your doing?

The other text you could relate to the tempest is "Journeys over land and sea"... im kinda vague with this text.

Im kinda stuck like you too... i have to choose a range of texts for my feature article due in two weeks time.
Coz... one of my related text is a poem, therefore i have to choose another text type in the stimulus booklet. (so hectic!...lol)

not really. for the related text u sorta HAVE to choose another text type but for the stimulus booklet, u can choose the same text type if u want.

i know i could choose the same text.... i would possibly lose marks for my school assessment. However, im eager to do the same type of text in the HSC.

but ur doing the tempest! there are no plays in the BOS booklet! i just lost u....

Let me interpret this...

My related texts.... a poem and a film

What i meant is... my speech needs to be a "range" of texts. I wanted to do a poem in the stimulus, but i can't because im already doin a poem for related text.

However, i said i will probably do two same type of texts (poem) in the HSC.

Hey guys... thanx for replying.
I finally figure out a text in the stimulus booklet...
I'm doing Wind in the Willows because this text have some possibilties to link in the tempest.
