I'm not exactly someone who is very poetical or too philosophic. So i have no idea on where to start with a thesis about identity. Its supposed to be about Robert Grays Poetry. (Diptych, A Laborer, Late ferry.)

You don't need to be poetic or philosophical to create a great thesis, I would highly recommend you to read through the rubric for identity, look through the poems once again to see what are the thematic concerns relevant to identity that has been examined, things to consider might be-what type of identity is examined, what is the implication of the individual's search for identity/failure to attain a sense of identity, what are the reasons motivating individuals to define a sense of identity-i.e. trying to search for a sense of belonging, as a part of process of self-actualisation etc... deconstruct the rubric and connect parts of it to the poem-this will enable you to construct very strong and RELEVANT thesis sentences:)
