Things to do when moving out of home... (1 Viewer)

What sort of things do i need to organise to move out? I mean things like medicare, insurance, private health cover etc?? I've ordered a copy medicare card and i now have a copy of my private health cover details. Should i insure my personal contents? oh and my laptop? Can somebody who has bee through all this help me?

hmm...well i havent been thru it, but here are a few things i can think of...
inform everyone of your new address (friends, family, australian tax office, roads n traffic authority, all that)
as you mentioned, health care
maybe just insure the major things (laptop, etc)

umm...im having a blonde day, i cant think of any others

And you dont want to have any local elections pop up while your at uni (remember if you dont do it now you probably wont do it in a year) basically anyplace that has your address you need to contact.

Im trying to remember what my brother had to do... insure your personal contents if you can afford to or if you plan on going out a fair bit and leaving the stuff in your room. You will need to get your bank to send the statements to your uni address while your their, centrelink if you get anything etc

Ummm I chose to do drill with the F-88 AUSTYER rather then go to my yr 10 formal. I still dont see the point in the yr 10 formal.

Well lets see the two main people concerned live about 600ish and 900ish km away from Sydney I think that constitutes far away
