Does anyone have the procedure? Did you just add Iron 3 and SCN to form the blood red solution then by adding either SCN or Iron 3, the colour changed?

Some help would be really appreciated.

1) prepare your Fe[SCN]2+ by 5 drops of 0.2M Fe3+ and 5 drops of 0.2M SCN- and diluting it with 20-30mls of water. this is so your soln is a medium red colour, a deep blood red soln would make the observation of a shift towards the forward reaction difficult
2) place 4ml [each] of soln into 6 test tubes
3) next for your changes to impose on the system
-leave one with no change
-add 1 drop of 0.1M Fe3+
-add 1 drop of 0.1M SCN-
-heat the soln (hot water bath)
-cool the soln (ice water bath)
-add 1 drop 0.1M Na2HPO4
