This is a really stupid question but, what is the plain form of[FONT=&quot] ~ましょう. And could someone run over the dos and don'ts of plain form for me.

Hey,

I'm in Yr10 doing Yr11 Prelim 2u Accelerated, so I'm not the "best" person for this, but as far as I know this is how it works:

You use the '2nd form' (that's what I call it) of the verb, so it's the verb in 'ru' form, you just take of the ru, and add 'you'

e.g

2nd Form

taberu --> tabeyou
deru --> deyou
miru --> miyou

I don't have time to give some notes on plain form (atm) cause I'm about to leave for work, but hopefully that helps.

For the exceptions
suru --> shiyou
iku --> ikou
kiru --> koyou
