when i do my timetable tomorrow does it matter if i have a tutorial straight after a lecture? Do classes start right on the dot? and is it better to have a tutorial before or after a lecture?

im just as new to this as you, but im currently making my timetable and this is what im doing.

1. Lecture->tute->lab

like i think its best to hear a lecture, try and understand, if i dont understand something il have a tute to fill the gaps and finally il finish of with a practical in a lab.

i also heard somewhere that its the LAB where u have exams, so i make sure i shove those later in the week..

well thats really what im doing but id also like to hear from a 2nd year student about this...

It doesn't matter. Put them all whenever. Also, you tend to finish 5 mins before hour and start 5 mins after hour so you got heaps of time.

Just note the location of your lecture/tutes, because u dont want to have only 5 mins to run from one end of campus to the other

It doesn't matter if you have a tutorial straight after the lecture, unless you think you can't concentrate for 2 hours straight (with a 10 minute gap).

As for Lecture-Tute-Lab, bear in mind this is at least 4 hours in a row of classes. That's actually not so bad, but if they're all for the same subject you might want to think carefully about it.

It's still okay, but you have to be sure you'll like the subject.

Minai - you should be able to make it from one end to the other in 10 minutes, what are you talking about? Or is that the problem, that you're talking ;) :p (I've gone from Red Centre to Biomed without any trouble in that time)

If you are eager they might let you do two labs, but thats only if you want to repeat the work :)

As far as I know auto is just that....auto, just gets you your subjects.
