I'm having some trouble proving things in 3 unit trig questions. Once I look at the worked solution I think "oh, that's really obvious, I can't believe I didn't think of that". It just doesn't come to me as I stare at the question? Also, I'm having trouble memorising the identities. Does anyone have any tips for memorising and understanding trig identities and proving?

Recall formulas consistently throughout the day and u will memorise them

eg. When u are doing nothing, think of trig identities, "double angles now, sin2A = 2sinAcosA, ok, cos2A = cos^2 A - sin^2 A = two other ones"

If u can recall ALL trig identities, now start doing textbook questions to stimulate ur mind

If u cant remember any trig identities (literally), the only way is to rote learn consistently

i found doing a million of them really helps.
Sorry but I don't think there's any other method (from my experience).
People call me elite at trig and the rest, and I can honestly say its because I've done so many past papers, which really gives you the experience on what sort of questions require what.
