Hey all

Just posting to ask advice as to subject choice.

I have just finished the 2U course with an avg of ~66% (rank 12/30) and 3u tomorrow with an avg of ~55% (rank 3/7) - which was pretty good considering I dropped out of school in yr 10 around 8 years ago and have done no math whatsoever since.

Unfortunatley I need to redo math to get the UAI of 92+ that i need.

My quandry however is which math to do, General or repeat 2U.

From looking at the general paper I dont think 90% would be an unreasonable aim for me for this subject while for a second run at 2u I think ~80% would be a reasonable expectation.

From reading past threads it seems that General is not capped for HSC marks but is capped for UAI scaling.

I've tried simply feeding these guestimations into SAM (80% 2u vs 90% Gen) for which General comes out on top by a fair amount. This however i am sure is not accurate due to the "aligned marks" that sam apparently uses.

Does anyone have some more concrete information about general's contribution to high uai's and even better a raw mark comparison of the to subjects as to their UAI contribution?

Thanks in advance

PS good luck to all the Gens our there sitting the exam today
